It’s almost meet day! Tommorow is our first home meet against Lake Forest.  In addition, to giving out numbers tomorrow, we will be doing a breast stroke clinic! Kids frequently DQ doing this stroke.  If your child struggles with this breaststroke, this is a great opportunity for your swimmer to focus on perfecting it. There is no regular practice tomorrow.

I still need three more volunteers for tomorow.  I’ll be checking on whom has met their volunteer agreement and reaching out to those that have not. 

We will be doing team/individual photos next Thursday, 6/19 at 8am.  More information to follow.

Below is list of reminders for tomorrow, please read them all.

• breast stroke clinic is from 8-830am
• We will be giving out numbers at the Deerlake Clubhouse on Thursday (6/12) morning at 830 am. If your child doesn't get their numbers in the am, please have them check in with coaches upon arrival at the meet.
• Tommorows theme is Hawaiian
• Parking- there will be signs for roadside parking and parking in the tennis/pool lot.  If you live in Deerlake, try to walk if possible. Give yourself plenty of time to park so your child will be at warm up on time
• Please arrive no later than 4:15 pm and have your child check in with coaches. Warm up will begin promptly at 430pm.
• Volunteer meeting will be in the Clubhouse at 5pm
• Meet begins at 530pm
• Please remind your swimmer they need to stay in the bull pens. They should not be wandering around in between races. If coaches can not find them, they will miss their opportunity to race because the meet will not pause while we look for them. Our team will also suffer because they will loose potential points.
• If kids want snacks, encourage them to wait for a big break in between their races before heading to concessions
• Do not put sunscreen on your swimmer number. It will make it come off.
• Have your child bring extra towels.
• Concession will have Chick fil a, pizza, ice cream, candy, chips, and drinks for sale as well. King of Pops will be available.  We take cash or venmo.
• Do not leave the meet until your child has swum all their assigned races.
