Volunteer Information
Swim meets and team events require many volunteers and a large staff. A commitment from the families of the swimmers is critical to ensure our meets run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Each family is strongly encouraged to volunteer at a minimum of THREE meets. Thank you for signing up for volunteer positions through the team website.
Meets are divided into two halves. You will only work the first session OR second session.

| Concession Stand |
Works in concessions and sells food to swimmers and parents. Concessions workers will get to take time to see their children swim! (3 Volunteers per session) |

| Place Judge |
Sits in a designated spot by the pool. Judges the place finishes as they see them. Writes the places and gives the place order to the Judges Recorder for the Judges Recorder to record. (1 Volunteer per session) |

| Judges Recorder |
Sits with the place judges and records the finishes on the placing form. If judges have differing opinions on a finish, makes final decision or asks official for final ruling. (1 Volunteer per session) |

| Master Recorder |
Collects the place judges forms and records the times |

| Runner |
Collects time and place-finish cards from Master Recorder and Judges Recorder and delivers to scoring table after each event.(1 Volunteer per session) |

| Timers & Recorders |
Timers stand at the end of the pool at an assigned lane and use a digital stopwatch to record swimmers’ times during the meet. Recorders stand with the timer, write down the times, and hand the results to the Master Recorder.(6 Volunteers per session) |

| Ribbon Writers | Work at the awards table. Places labels on ribbons and distributes to swimmers' file boxes. Time commitment: 2nd half Only - Backstroke until all ribbons are labeled and filed. (2 Volunteers second session only) |
Age-level bullpens are provided for 6 & Under, 7/8s, and 9/10s.
Swimmers over the age of 10 are responsible for their own meet management. Bullpen Parents responsibilities include: keeping swimmers from wandering away from the bullpen, organizing swimmers for each race in order for coaches to take them to the blocks, supervising swimmers in the bullpen who are not currently racing, and allowing/walking swimmers to use the rest room as needed. Swimmers are not to leave bullpen area without permission. Heat sheets/clipboards are provided.
